Jennifer Saba

Jennifer F Saba, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and child development specialist with over 20 years of experience working with children and families. She is currently in private practice in New York City. She was until recently a pediatric psychologist in the HealthySteps program at Bellevue Hospital, where she helped lead the implementation of a novel maternal-child initiative called 321 IMPACT.  She also served as Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Medical School, supervising and teaching psychology interns and medical residents. Prior to this, in 2016, she co-started the HealthySteps program at Brookdale Hospital and served as the Specialist and Program Director until 2020.  Jennifer has extensive training and clinical experience in infant and early child mental health as well as in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She has worked with children and parents exposed to trauma and with families who are involved in family court and child welfare systems. 

Jennifer is a board member of the New York Zero to Three Network, a statewide professional organization that aims to support the early childhood workforce.  She also serves on the Steering Committee of the Strong Starts Court Initiative, a program at the Center for Justice Innovation.  Jennifer is excited to join the board at the Children’s Law Center, a nonprofit organization focused on providing pro bono legal advocacy services to children in New York City.  She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from New York University & her B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College. She lives with her family in Brooklyn.
